1. A volunteer is asked to serve a minimum of 4 hours per week.

2. The hospital provides a courtesy meal for each 4 hours worked. Meal tickets may be obtained from the Volunteer Services office.

3. Parking for volunteers is reserved near the Outpatient Admissions entrance downtown and near the main entrance at the Northeast facility. Should you wish to park in this area, please obtain a parking sticker from the Volunteer Services office and place it in the bottom lefthand corner of the rear window of your vehicle. Should you trade cars or drive your spouse’s vehicle, please come by the Volunteer Services Office and obtain a new sticker.

4. Uniforms: Volunteer attire for ladies consists of all white clothing under a coral smock, pinafore or vest. White walking shoes with closed toes and rubber soles are to be worn for safety purposes. Men wear a red jacket over a shirt, tie and dress slacks. They also wear walking shoes.

5. Absence from work: In the event you will be unable to keep your regularly scheduled work shift, you are requested to complete an absentee form, which may be obtained from the Volunteer Services office. If possible, indicate the person who will substitute for you. In the event of illness or unplanned absence, please notify the office so that they may obtain a substitute for you.
